Ricky P X Sosamann “Break You Down” is Out Now on Taylor Gang

The 5x Grammy-nominated artist Ricky P just released his latest track “Break You Down” featuring the Houston rapper Sosamann on the Taylor Gang label. To keep the momentum going the two storytelling artists also released a music video for “Break You Down” that you can watch here.  Detroit’s producer Z COOK’S creates the smoothest and steady beat allowing Ricky P and Sosamann to really cook up the track with Cook’s production.

ABOUT RICKY P

Pittsburgh native Ricky P embodies versatility as a singer, writer, producer, and performer. Born Mackenzie Stotts, Ricky spent his years listening to 36 Mafia and planning the next moves for what he describes as his legacy.

The first move was constructing a career based around four fundamental themes – consistency, growth, learning, and executing. His focus on continuously educating himself encouraged him to push boundaries and experiment across genres.

Ricky’s reputation has led to multiple collaborations with a wide range of artists including Juicy J, Trippie Redd, A$AP Mob, DaBaby, Demi Lovato, Jennifer Lopez, and Wiz Khalifa. The primary goal for Ricky in any collaboration is to control the energy in the room and bring out the best in artists, which he certainly did with his 2015 collaboration with Wiz Khalifa. This collaboration culminated in the career defining single “See You Again” which broke records to become the all-time most-viewed video on YouTube. Other career milestones include being a 5x Grammy Nominated artist and opening Kush Factory Studios in Hollywood, CA.

Proving himself as a writer and producer, Ricky also showed his viability in the performance space with a memorable performance at Bonnaroo in 2014 – he took the stage just before Elton John in front of the biggest crowd he’s ever seen in his life.

Ricky’s career focus and his passion push him to continue to create music. He loves that music brings people together and wants to continue to help spread the impact it has on people around the world. He continues to add more career defining moments to his resume.

ABOUT SOSAMANN

Houston rapper and Sauce Factory founder Sosamann represents Splashtown with club-friendly, bass-heavy songs about partying and street life. Raised in the violent Braeswood area, Sosamann spun his ability as a storyteller (he once contemplated becoming an author) into rap, hooking up with the Sauce Twinz in 2014. He appeared on their mixtape Sauce Theft Auto: Splash Andreas the following year. His own club hit “Did a Whole Lot” attracted the attention of Wiz Khalifa, who signed Sosamann to his Taylor Gang. Later, Wiz would join Sosamann on “Not the Vine” from Sosamann’s full-length Sauce Eskobar. The 2016 effort also featured Young Dolph, Sauce Walka, and Sancho Saucy.
