Effortless Vic The Vamp Addresses the Culture on His Creativity & What It Takes to Be In The Music Industry

Emerging Detroit rapper Effortless Vic continues to make a regional buzz in 2021. After the release of his single “Tyler Herro” he  talks to the Hype Magazine about his creative process and his lane as an independent artist.

Hype: What is your creative process like?

Effortless Vic The Vamp: My process is kinda crazy because I don’t actually write my music but it’s not a freestyle. I come up with what I want to say in my head and I just say it over and over till it’s memorized feel like that gives off more feeling when I do it like that then reading off a paper or phone

Hype: What is one message you would give your fans?

Effortless Vic The Vamp: I always say this and stand on it. You can do anything you want to do, it may sound corny but it’s true you can do anything you willing to work for, keep working, and striving with whatever you want to do

Hype: What would you be doing now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

Effortless Vic The Vamp: I couldn’t even tell you because music has really been my life for all my life I started writing on beats when I was 11 years old I dropped my 1st mixtape at 13 so idk musics been my focus and has kept me out of a lot of trouble

Hype: What first got you into music?

Effortless Vic The Vamp: My best friend Roy was already like writing songs and all that I always loved music and watching my uncle make music as well but I never thought of myself making music till my mans came and was like yo you should get on this song with me from there it’s history

Hype:  What influence do you feel that the Internet has impacted within the music business?

Effortless Vic The Vamp: The Internet is gold and has changed the whole game people can listen to all your music at the click of a button nobody is buying CD’s anymore. You legit can’t be a music artist without a Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter something but it’s definitely expanded the range artist can reach out.

Hype: Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Effortless Vic The Vamp: Drake, one of my favorite artist and definitely one of the greatest artist of my generation.

Hype: Do you sing in the shower? What song?

Effortless Vic The Vamp: Hell yeah, I feel you not human if you don’t sing in the shower for real and whatever come on my playlist it’s on. I’m grooving in the shower you feel me either that or I got the instrumental on and trying to come up with something.

Hype: How would you describe the music that you typically create?

Effortless Vic The Vamp: I make mood music. My motto is when in doubt make a song whether you’re mad, sad, or glad but I typically make more upbeat music I can have the saddest lyrics but still get you turnt in the same regard.

Hype: What is your favorite song to perform?

Effortless Vic The Vamp: Doubted Me once that beat drop and hearing people saying that hook with me it’s no feeling like it

Hype: Where have you performed? What are your favorite and least favorite venue? Do you have any upcoming shows?

Effortless Vic The Vamp: I’ve performed  up and down Detroit from Bankrose, Hot Rock, El Club, Little Caesars Arena and more my favorite venue is Bankrose that’s basically my home. I don’t have a least favorite venue. I’m a rockstar we rocking wherever, whenever. I’m just getting off my mini tour so I’m booked April 24th and May 8th.
