IMPACT Wrestling’s Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo On This Month’s “Rebellion” Show, Finding A Home In IMPACT & More

IMPACT Wrestling has started off 2021 strong, and that hype continues with April 25th’s Rebellion pay-per-view. IMPACT’s next pay-per-view is set to make history as All Elite Wrestling’s World Champion Kenny Omega will be taking on IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann in a “Title Vs. Title” match, as featuring commentary from Mauro Ranallo. Meanwhile, IMPACT itself — which airs on Tuesday nights at 8:00 PM EST / 7:00 PM CST, as preceded by the Before The Impact program and followed by the IMPACT In 60 program — is regularly the highest-rated show on the AXS TV network.

Rebellion will also feature an Knockouts Championship title match between Deonna Purrazzo and Tenille Dashwood. Purrazzo joined IMPACT earlier this year, following years of wrestling around the world for other televised wrestling companies, and has since been IMPACT’s Knockouts Champion for most of the last year. Billed as “The Virtuosa,” Purrazzo is one of the few wrestlers today who can correctly-apply a Fujiwara Armbar and win matches with it. The New Jersey native is of course supremely-tough, yet she is also social media-savvy while keeping up a glamorous image.

On April 16, 2021, I had the pleasure of interviewing Deonna Purrazzo again, this time via Zoom and embedded below. More on Purrazzo, IMPACT and Rebellion can be found here, here, here and here.
