Traphaven Gears Up to Release New Studio Album “Tempo”
Brendan Tobias aka Traphaven, grew up in Newport News, VA. Originally inspired by his sister’s musical talents, Traphaven started learning to play music at a very young age. While he maintains, manufactures and assembles airplane parts for a living, he uses music as an outlet to express his creativity and connect with other musicians. His personal experiences combined with some inspiration from Gucci Mane’s mixtapes, influenced Traphaven to create his own musical legacy. He entered the game as a producer, so during the creative process, everything he does begins with the sound. The perfect arpeggio with a syncopated rhythm was originally all that mattered. But he struggled as a writer. He could not write to his own beats, so he had to grow as an artist separate from his production work. Today, he is able to write for the entire process, demonstrating a sincere growth and expansion of his musical talents. And at the end of the day, he tries not to take himself too seriously. He’s all about entertaining the crowd with spicy, fun lyrics. Gearing up to release an official studio length album this summer called “Tempo”, fans have a lot to look forward to!
