Who Is Tom Tales?

Québécois artist Tom Tales entered the industry earlier this year with his Chaser anthem – Big Bears, a record that resonated with gay and queer listeners, specifically those within the Chaser and Bear demographics. The song will receive a video accompaniment later this summer.

We get to know Tales via an interview provided by his label Downer Club Records of Washington, DC…

Hey! Introduce yourself. Where are you from?

I’m Tom Tales. I am from Montreal but I create in Brooklyn New York!

When did you start making music?

When I was just a little child—I was 2 years old with a piano.

Who inspired you to start making music?

My dad—he was a musician himself.

How would you describe your music style?

A mix of the Friends TV show, and an interview with Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols.

Who are you listening to now?

I’m listening to a lot of Thin Lizzy!

What’s your best project or single so far?

My favorite release so far is Big Bear (I’m In Love).

Any upcoming releases from you to look out for?

A song about food called Lectious Delicious is coming soon!
