0LA Galaxy Goalkeeper Jonathan Bond On Moving To U.S., Future Plans, Music, Television & More
A popular goalkeeper for Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy, Jonathan Bond initially played internationally for Wales at the under-17 and under-19 levels. He joined up with the Watford Football Club during the 2009-10 season, sticking around with the organization through the 2014-15 season. Bond would later play with West Bromwich Albion, a favorite in the EFL Championship league.
In January 2021, Jonathan Bond announced his signing with the aforementioned MLS club known as the LA Galaxy, as part of a proper relocated to the United States. As of this article’s writing, the LA Galaxy squad is 31 games into the current 2021 MLS season, holding a spot in the top-half of the MLS’ Western Conference. Bond has been on the pitch for 28 of those 31 games, appearing in 90 percent of the season’s minutes. In 1 particular game in May 2021, Bond recorded 12 saves — reportedly the most saves in any LA Galaxy win or shutout — to help defeat the San Jose Earthquakes.
