Cheap Trick to Bring Rockin’ Residency to The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod

The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod and SPI Entertainment will welcome a second residency by legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Famers to The STRAT Theater stage with epic rock band, Cheap Trick, starting with four shows in early 2022. Tickets will be available starting today, Jan. 3 for shows on Friday, Feb. 25, Saturday, Feb. 26, Friday, March 4 and Saturday, March 5.

“Can’t wait to finally get back out on the road with Cheap Trick,” said Tom Petersson, bass guitarist and original band member for Cheap Trick. “I hope to see you during our Las Vegas residency at The STRAT. Happy New Year!”

Through a rock ‘n’ roll and pop sound that is undeniably their own, Cheap Trick continues to sell out shows with a string of classic hits including “I Want You to Want Me,” “Dream Police,” “Surrender,” and worldwide #1 hit song, “The Flame. Founded in 1974, Cheap Trick includes legendary original band members Robin Zander, vocalist and guitarist, Rick Nielsen on lead guitar, andPetersson. Daxx Nielsen joined the band on drums in 2010.

“We aren’t just bringing rock ‘n’ roll to the Las Vegas Strip, we’re throwing a party,” said Brad Goldberg, senior vice president of marketing and entertainment for Golden Entertainment, Inc., parent company of The STRAT. “We’re thrilled to add Cheap Trick to our lineup of legendary rock residencies at The STRAT for what will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for their fans.”

Each show will pay tribute to monumental performances by Cheap Trick, including Live at Budokan, the band’s legendary live album recorded in Tokyo.

“Cheap Trick has delivered hit after hit over the course of their illustrious career,” said Adam Steck of SPI Entertainment, Co-Producer of the show. “Their music includes some of the greatest rock anthems in history, and I’m thrilled to be bringing them to The STRAT for their first Las Vegas residency.”

Show times will be 9 p.m., with doors opening at 8 p.m. Tickets will be priced starting at $75 and will be available to members of Trick International, Cheap Trick’s fan club, at 10 a.m. PT on Monday, Jan. 3 and to members of True Rewards, The STRAT’s free rewards program, at 10 a.m. PT on Tuesday, Jan. 4. Tickets will be released to the general public at 10 a.m. PT on Thursday, Jan. 6 and available for purchase at tickets.thestrat.com/CheapTrick.

VIP packages for once-in-a-lifetime experiences will also be available. More information about the show is available at TheSTRAT.com and on Cheap Trick’s website, www.cheaptrick.com.

The STRAT Theater has a capacity for up to 900 fans, including a party pit directly in front of the stage, making it one of the most intimate showrooms in Las Vegas. Cheap Trick is the second rock residency at The STRAT, joining Sammy Hagar & Friends, which debuted in October. The first six shows of the residency sold out within a couple of hours and early 2022 dates will be announced, soon.

All attendees of this event will be required to receive a negative COVID-19 diagnostic test within 72-hours prior to event entry or have vaccination cards demonstrating they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
