BandGang Lonnie Bands – Hard 2 Kill: Reloaded
Detroit mainstay, BandGang Lonnie Bands, dropped Hard 2 Kill: Reloaded, the deluxe edition of his acclaimed 2021 album Hard 2 Kill. Lonnie is pulling no punches on the new tracks, including one posse cut that showcases BandGang’s finest: Bandgang Javar, Bandgang Masoe, Bandgang Biggs & The Godfather. The nine new songs are an exciting addition to a project that already holds verses from the likes of L.A. slick-talker OhGeesy, Memphis mainstay Big30, and burgeoning artist EST Gee. On both the new songs and the ones from the original tracklist, Lonnie rises above his peers by doing what they can’t; maybe it’s him shrugging off a headshot and rapping about it after, maybe it’s his signature tone, deceptively easygoing with bars spit through pursed lips; either way, Lonnie’s presence and influence on Detroit street rap are undeniable.
