“Leave It To Geege” Star Geege Taylor On Her Lifetime Series, Working With World Of Wonder, Autism Awareness & More

Leave It To Geege is a new series from production company World Of Wonder — the team behind the culture-shifting Drag Race franchise — in its premiere season on Lifetime. The reality series follows a twice-divorced breast cancer survivor and Atlanta-area single mother Geege Taylor, who has dedicated her life to advocating for those on the spectrum. It explores the importance of educating and helping others navigate their way through the challenges and rewards of raising a child with autism, following her first-hand experience with her non-verbal 19-year-old son Pootie alongside friends and family.

As many of Lifetime’s unscripted shows continue to thrive in the digital space, Lifetime moved Leave It To Geege to roll out digitally on mylifetime.com, the Lifetime app and VOD as of last week. New episodes have been dropping every Thursday, starting February 10, 2022. Simply put, entertainment value aside, Leave It To Geege is in rare company in providing neuro-atypical representation on a major television platform while helping to demystify various stereotypes surrounding autism.

On February 14, 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with Geege Taylor via Zoom, as embedded below. Beyond Leave It To Geege, we spoke about her background, autism awareness, future plans and plenty more. Additional info on Leave It To Geege can be found online by clicking here, here and here.
