MEET Juscallme ‘Dash’

Born and raised in Kansas City, MO, Juscallme Dash began writing his first song at 12 years old. He began rapping because of his best friend, whom really had the passion for rapping, but Dash quickly learned it’s what he wanted to do. His best friends cousin owned a studio so he got beats and studio time for free, so he utilized what he had to practice and perfect his craft in high school.

He really found himself as an artist after graduating college in Topeka, KS. As a master of writing verses, he met friends Candice “aka” Mama C and Martez “aka” Trill who put him on to the knowledge of writing and perfecting choruses/hooks. The chemistry between the three created the group DTM. The group’s journey quickly breaks up due to Candice’s addiction to Meth and the party life, causing Dash to venture onto his own music.

In 2010 he released his first album, “Street Lights and Stovetops” with two Kansas City artists “B.a Didat” and “HB”. Soon after, Dash decided to focus on his own music and dropped his first solo albums, “Cash N Crime,” volume 1 and shortly after with volume 2.  In 2012 Dash became a father of two boys and his mindset switched from music to providing for his children. But he really didn’t began creating a buzz around his music until, 2013 when he released “Thoughts from my Backwood Pack”. This is when Kansas City began to notice his talent. That’s when he knew he had something special in this rap game.

Dash was the true definition of no cap in my rap, writing lyrical verses full of true stories of the pain of his personal home and street life. Music that Kansas City could feel and relate to. 3 years later Dash got back to the music and released album, “Airport Fly” Battling his demons, not knowing if he wanted to continue living the street life or to pursue music, his love for rap began to fade and he debated if he wanted to quit rapping.

Dash didn’t release and barely wrote any music for the next couple of years until 2018 when he crossed paths with a local singer and love interest by the name of April Dianna who began singing for him at the gym.  That relationship sparked numerous songs, music videos and performances. April Dianna resurrected the musical talent within him and Dash began pumping out cookers. Shortly after meeting, Dash released “they Gone Feel Me” The Mixtape in 2019 and “They Gone Feel Me” The Album in 2020. He then began using promotional platforms such as Say Cheese and World Star Hip Hop to promote his music, as well as shooting multiple videos to market his brand.

In 2021 he tragically lost his best friend Gary Taylor to a senseless shooting. Gary was a motivational and supporting source in Dash’s life and his music.  Both having tatted EXECUTE on their hands. Dash vowed to keep that promise to him, to execute the plan to make his music career successful, and to continue to represent Gary’s fitness and security brand PowerHouse. Keeping that promise, In 2022 Dash continues to perform locally and release music. This year Dash will be releasing 6 EPs. The first “Mr. Toxic”, Vol.1 releasing February 2022, and “Flow Jackson” Vol. 1 on April 13th, 2022
