Jon Taffer On The New Season Of “Bar Rescue,” The Troubadour, Drumming, Las Vegas Bars, His Long Island Roots & More

Most people know Jon Taffer as a larger-than-life television personality who takes a no-holds-barred approach to helping hotels, restaurants, bars and businesses reach their full potential. Beyond being the creator, executive producer and star of Paramount Network’s hit show Bar Rescue, Taffer is also a New York Times best-selling author and a highly sought-after hospitality and business consultant off-screen. Taffer is also the namesake of the Taffer’s Mixogolist brand and the Taffer’s Tavern chain.

Bar Rescue returns for another season on The Paramount Network this Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 10:00 PM EST. A trailer is below, showing you what is to be expected from Bar Rescue this batch of new episodes. Earlier this season, Bar Rescue aired its monumental 200th episode, which further puts the show in rare company; it is not too far M*A*S*H as far as its total number of episodes.

On March 17, 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with Jon Taffer via Zoom, as embedded below. Beyond discussing the new season of , we talked about his Long Island roots, his time managing the legendary Los Angeles venue known as The Troubadour, and future plans for the Taffer’s Mixogolist brand and the Taffer’s Tavern chain. More on Taffer and Bar Rescue can be found here, here and here.
