“Billy The Kid” Stars Tom Blyth, Eileen O’Higgins & Daniel Webber On The New EPIX Series & More

Launched in October 2009, EPIX is a premium television network delivering a broad lineup of quality original series and documentaries, the latest movie releases and classic film franchises. Available on TV, on-demand, online and across devices, EPIX’s acclaimed originals include  (starring and executive produced by Forest Whitaker), Pennyworth (the origin story of Batman’s butler Alfred) and drama Chapelwaite (based on the short story Jerusalem’s Lot by Stephen King and starring Adrien Brody).

New from EPIX is Billy The Kid, which stars British actor Tom Blyth (The Gilded Age, Benediction) and Daniel Webber (The Dirt, Escape From Pretoria). Written by Vikings and The Tudors creator Michael Hirst, the show’s debut season is comprised of 8 hour-long episodes. An epic romantic adventure based on the life of famous American outlaw Billy The Kid (played by Blyth), the series shows the titular character’s humble Irish roots, his early days as a cowboy and gunslinger in the American frontier, and his pivotal role in the Lincoln County War alike. Webber portrays Jesse Evans, another famous outlaw and leader of the Seven Rivers Gang. Simply put, Billy The Kid is simultaneously well-crafted, historically-accurate and compelling, and sure to appeal to fans of history and great dramas alike.
