Live Session With Tabay Atkins: America’s Youngest 500 hours Certified Yoga Teacher
This is an AMAZING Live Session with 16-year-old Nike athlete, yogi, vegan chef, nutritionist, and reiki master, Tabay Atkins (America’s youngest 500 hours certified yoga teacher). His skillset and inspiring mission to give back to others has snagged the attention of big brands including the likes of Nike, who has made him a face of their brand with his campaign that launched in February. As well as being featured by Nike in their various marketing materials and across the walls of their stores, Tabay has also become sought after by numerous celebrities teaching for the likes of Deepak Chopra (who sought him out to teach at his private retreat) and the Kardashians, to name a few. He also graduated high school 3.5 years early with a 4.0 GPA, so it’s safe to say this young man is quite special!
This amazing young lion is focused and dedicated to his career, but everything he does has a deeper context which includes preserving mother earth and teaching old lions like me new concepts about how to see interactions…I tried to get him to argue with me about veganism and he masterfully diverted me and said there can be no such thing as an argument with an open-minded person…MAN he got me! In the end, I committed to trying a few things from the recipe list on his site which, as a smart business person, he provides to members of his subscription-based site.
Tabay’s journey began as a young boy when he witnessed the debilitating effects of his mother’s struggle with cancer. A devout yogi herself, she was committed to keeping a positive mindset and maintaining her practice, and two months later was able to walk again. Tabay knew from then on that he had found his “dharma.” Today, he is one of the most sought-after yoga instructors, teaching his practice and vegan cooking classes all over the world. In addition, he uses the money he makes to give back to cancer patients.
