Meet Lil Jay And The Spiritual Boys AKA TSB
Lil Jay and the Spiritual Boys, affectionately known as TSB, are New Jersey’s own next generation to be trailblazers in the quartet ministry. They are a talented, spiritually rooted and grounded group of young men that can sing, will sing and love to give GOD them best praise. They are not new to this industry since they have been blessed to successfully record four (4) CD’s: including their first single CD, “I’m Not Alone”, followed by “Jesus Was Right There”, they stunned the quartet world with their 2016 CD entitled “RATED R”. And now they are blazing the airways yet again captivating listeners all across the country, young and old, with their new CD entitled “RATED R – The Sequel” a special tribute to some of the best quartet legends. This compilation allowed TSB once again to share the good news of God through song. The TSB is embracing the quartet industry in their own way, flourishing in their growth, their strength and their tenacity to bless GOD for all that he has and continues to do for them. It is evident that these young men are on the right track simply because their hard work has not gone unnoticed. Which has allowed TSB to receive awards for their outstanding accomplishments such as: New Jersey’s McDonald’s GospelFest Finalist, recipients of the S& M Indie Award for Traditional Male Quartet Group of the Year, being presented the Passing of the Torch Award in their home state of New Jersey by the Quartet Unity, they have been blessed and honored to be the 2017 Stellar Award Nominees for “Quartet of the Year! Making history as well with Lil Jay being the youngest to be nominated for such an award. And more recently been the recipients of the rhythm of Gospel Award. Even through life’s challenges, they have managed to persevere. Lil Jay and the Spiritual Boys continue to diligently work and bring great gospel music to all; and it is evident with their new project, “Take Off”, which is expected to be released in the Spring of 2022. They have also been blessed to work with Mr. Gene Peoples of SkyCity Music, who works closely with R & B Greats like New Edition and Bell, Biv Devoe, on this project and future endeavors. They are so overwhelmed and overjoyed with all of the accolades that they receive. But the greatest accolade of them all is the continual blessings God sends their way. The TSB can truly sayly been the recipients of the RB can truly say, God is so GOOD and God is so FAITHFUL!
TSB has been blessed and privileged to share the stage with the likes of many quartet greats such as: The Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Williams Brothers, Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC’s, Spencer, Taylor and the Highway QC’s, Doc McKenzie and the Hi-Lites, The Gospel Legends, George Dean and the Gospel Four, The Pilgrim Jubilees, Bishop Darrell McFadden and the Disciples, and so many more! An honor that they don’t take lightly, but are forever thankful for the opportunity.
TSB leaves their audiences mesmerized every time with a HIGH PRAISE! They are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and their desire to encourage others, especially the younger generation, to bless God at all times. Don’t be afraid to TRY JESUS! They believe that if you tell somebody how good God is, they too will know that in their time of need YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Their new message to everyone is, you are going to need the Lord ONE OF THESE DAYS. And if you trust him and never doubt, STEP BY STEP God will make a way! As the leader of the group. Lil Jay declares that “ God, wherever you send me, I will follow” because I’M IN YOUR CARE. For God has reassured him that “ I’M NOT ALONE”.
