Bai Ling On The New Tubi Limited Series “Barbee Rehab,” Music, Career Goals, New Movies & More

Due out on May 6, 2022 via Tubi, Barbee Rehab is a new 7-part, limited series following a wide digital release one day earlier via Global Digital Releasing. The series follows a patient — played by Tom Sizemore — who is on the verge of being locked up after claiming to have discovered a rehab facility focused on treating people who are obsessed with collecting and/or living as real life Barbie and Ken dolls. He shares his unbelievable stories about the unstable staff and patients who suffer from a variety of outrageous Barbie and Ken doll addictions, with his psychiatrist (played by Janice Dickinson). Will that patient convince his psychologist this is a real place? Or will he end up in the nuthouse?

Described as “Celebrity Rehab meets Big Brother meets Plastic,” Barbee Rehab was helmed by writer, director and producer Derek S. Orr and producer, writer, set and costume designer Vanessa Bednar. Beyond the aforementioned Tom Sizemore and Janice Dickinson, Barbee Rehab also features Bai Ling (Crank), Lisa Wilcox (A Nightmare On Elm Street 4 & 5), Rachel Reilly (Big Brother), Johnny Wactor (General Hospital) and Alice Ford. Per Orr: “It’s like a train wreck you just can’t take your eyes off.”

On April 7, 2022, I had the pleasure of speaking with Bai Ling via Zoom, as embedded below. More on Barbee Rehab, Ling and the rest of its cast can be found online by clicking here, here and here.
