Lil Cherry & GOLDBUUDA release SPACE TALK album ft. Rico Nasty, Jvcki Wai, Mudd the student and more!

South Korean trendsetters, Lil Cherry and GOLDBUUDA, have released their highly anticipated collaborative album, SPACE TALK, which is out today via Sauce Cartel / ARTRA. The sibling duo have made a name for themselves with their colorful personas and viral hits, but with SPACE TALK, they deliver their most dynamic body of work to date. Drawing inspiration from a multitude of genres and styles, Lil Cherry and GOLDBUUDA pull together their influences to create music that pushes sonic boundaries and embodies a vibe that’s entirely their own. The 12-track album includes their off-the-wall collaboration with Rico Nasty, “CATWALK,” which was released alongside a blockbuster music video last month. Other standouts include “GGOOM,” which is a Jersey-Club inflected track that features Jvcki Wai, and the opening number, “Power Rangers,” which is a Pop-Punk anthem that features Mudd the student and Tyroné Laurent. SPACE TALK is the third installment in Lil Cherry’s TALK trilogy which also includes Lil Cherry and GOLDBUUDA’s 2020 collab project, CHEF TALK, and Lil Cherry’s 2018 solo debut, Sauce Talk.

Listen to the final chapter, SPACE TALK:

In a sea of polished pop stars, Lil Cherry’s unbridled confidence and unorthodox approach have made her Korea’s rarest gem. Capturing the eyes of a global audience, Lil Cherry is pushing the boundaries of Kpop and Korean hip-hop with her avant garde sensibilities. Whether it’s her recent single, “PYE LIFE,” a mantra for the universe she shares with her fans, or “G!,” which is her biggest solo release yet, Lil Cherry’s releases are whimsical, multisensory experiences. Her smart, tongue-in-cheek word play (credited to her studies in poetry at NYU’s Gallatin School) has landed her iconic collaborations, including CL’s “Spicy” remix and for the remix of “G!” with Hyo of Girls’ Generation.

Though Lil Cherry is carving out a space as a solo artist, some of her most celebrated works have been with her brother, GOLDBUUDA, who Lil Cherry has cited as her music plug and the first person who introduced her to making music. Together the two bring a distinctive energy that’s stemmed from their fascination with subcultures, including crunk, hyperpop and cloud rap, and from their time growing up in Miami, New York and Seoul. Coining their sound as “underground hi-fi,” their genre-defying approach took off in 2019 with their singles “ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT,” “get a whiff of dis” and “MUKKBANG!,” which were released on their own record label, SAUCE CARTEL, and have generated millions of views. Their rapid success has been celebrated nationally by the likes of GQ, Esquire, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and has led them to international opportunities like this year’s official SXSW showcase. With no signs of slowing down, both Lil Cherry and GOLDBUUDA are currently preparing for their next solo projects. Stay tuned for more news.
