Rising Pop-Country Artist CWBY Releases Brand New Single “Insecure” and Music Video
Genre-bending country/pop artist CWBY has released his brand new single “Insecure” along with the official music video, today, Friday May 13. The track serves as the lead single from his forthcoming debut EP “Lovin’ Me Ain’t Easy” which is set for release later this Summer. To celebrate the new song, CWBY will be hosting a special show at Live Oak in Nashville tonight at 6pm CT to kick off what is sure to be an exciting summer of releases for the budding star.
Fresh off his signing announcement with CDX Records, the song and video provide viewers and listeners a personal look at a past relationship. Struggling to overcome the hurt and frustration at the end of a relationship, CWBY channels his emotions into an introspective and relatable song for all. Watch the “Insecure” music video HERE.
“‘Insecure’ is based on a past relationship where regardless of how hard I tried, insecurities surrounding other women were so frequent that we couldn’t move forward,” CWBY shared with Got Country for the exclusive premiere. “At first, because of the world we live in, the industry I’m in and social media I understood it, but after a while it was too much to endure. The song helped me to express my frustration for a situation that I wished she could get over but it ended up being out of my hands.”
Originally from Florida, CWBY headed west with entrepreneurial pursuits, where he made a name for himself in the cannabis industry, coining the name “Cannabis Cowboy.” First discovering his love for music when he began using songwriting as an outlet to express himself, CWBY soon understood that his passion for sharing his life stories extended beyond just a hobby. Since then, he has spent the last 2 years refining his craft through his rigorous dedication to finding and utilizing every possible opportunity for growth. His debut release “Trapstar” has racked up over 1 million streams on Spotify alone, while the music video has nearly 2 million views. Using a highly contemporary and genre inclusive approach to finding his sound, demonstrated in fan-favorite tracks such as “Sorry Mama” and “Toxic,” CWBY has created a compelling infusion of country, pop, rock, R&B and rap influences, which CDX Records enthusiastically believes to be the future of music.
