0“Troppo” Stars Thomas Jane & Nicole Chamoun & Author Candice Fox On The Acclaimed New IMDb TV Series, Australia & More
Troppo is the story of Ted Conkaffey, played by Thomas Jane (The Expanse, The Vanished), an ex-cop falsely accused of committing a disturbing crime, who has escaped to hide away in the tropics of Far North Queensland. As he tries to avoid discovery, Conkaffey is drawn into investigating a wild murder and a missing person, alongside a complicated woman named Amanda Pharrell (played by Nicole Chamoun), with dark secrets of her own. Adapted for television by creator Yolanda Ramke, Troppo is based on the book Crimson Lake, the first novel of a gripping contemporary crime series set in Queensland, Australia, as written by popular New York Times best-selling author Candice Fox.
Produced by EQ Media Group and Beyond Entertainment in association with Renegade Entertainment, the series received major production financing from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, AGC Studios in association with Aperture Media Partners, and Screen Australia in association with Screen Queensland and with support from the City of Gold Coast. Its Executive Producers are Stuart Ford and Lourdes Diaz and co-EP Matt Bankston (AGC Studios), while Greg Quail, Lisa Duff, and Simonne Overend (EQ Media Group), Mikael Borglund and David Ogilvy (Beyond Entertainment), Sally Riley and Andrew Gregory (Australian Broadcasting Corporation), Thomas Jane and Courtney Lauren Penn (Renegade Entertainment) and Yolanda Ramke also produce the acclaimed IMDBtv series.
