Meet Marine Corps Sergeant Shane McCrea

One of the most encouraging developments in comedy over the past few years has been the growing directorial ambition of the internet. It’s very hard to duplicate the feel of a live comedian set with under a minute to capture and maintain your audience. Sergeant Shane Mcrea has been mastering his craft for over quite some time now thru Tik-Tok and Instagram by doing just that.

Shane McCrea was born in Hemingway, South Carolina. During all of his life his Dad wasn’t in the picture until he moved to Gastonia NC. Growing up with super adversity throughout his childhood McCrea decided to join the United States Marine Corps in 2015. Ultimately becoming one of the best decisions he has made in his life.

McCrea is currently a Sergeant of Marines. McCrea started out on the app Tik-Tok, making short 1-minute entertainment videos. He is best known for attracting his audience through videos about trending topics and life experiences as a Marine, and this unique idea helped him become one of the top rising stars on social media to date in his target market of military members.
