Bravo’s Dr. Heavenly Kimes, Rashan Ali & More at the Orange Blossom Classic Elevation Experience

Two months shy of the big game, the first event of the Denny’s Orange Blossom Classic presented by Ready Life kicked off on July 8, 2022, at the Dodge City Center in Pembroke Pines, Fl. The Elevation Experience presented by Bacardi was a blueprint for women’s empowerment as hundreds of women in leadership gathered to have career-building conversations.

On the horizon of the season premiere of Bravos Married to Medicine, Dr. Heavenly Kimes is back home in Miami as a featured speaker during the Orange Blossom Classic lead event. The proud Florida A&M University graduate imparted pearls of wisdom to help the women elevate their professional careers and insight on building generational wealth, speaking on how she encourages her children to find their niche and a beauty industry venture she’s taking on with her daughter.

The Elevation Experience was an off-the-grid iron community initiative that allowed guests to enjoy lite bites and refreshments by Bacardi, with opportunities to shop with vendors and musical entertainment provided by DJ Tight.

Hosted by Local 10 Alexis Frazier, guests gleaned from an influential panel of female leaders who have successfully cultivated corporate and entrepreneurial platforms to produce wealth while impacting and contributing to their communities.

Topics included Elevating in Corporate America, featuring Mahogani Chery of Bacardi. Amazon Senior Customer Solutions Manager Zsavette Eze illuminated a perspective that isn’t as glamourized and discussed elevating through a ‘nine to five’ path.

Later in the day, Dr. Heavenly Kimes – Married to Medicine, owner of Heavenly Beauty Supply, and Rashan Ali – Owner of Cool Soror and former co-host of Sister Circle, continued the conversation by speaking on Elevating as an Entrepreneur While Elevating Your Brand.

An environment of camaraderie with peer-to-peer networking and breakout sessions hosted by various industry professionals discussing different business structures, understanding business contracts, financial investment for business and personal, women’s health, fitness, nutrition, and more.

The Elevation Experience presented by Bacardi is a diversity and inclusion initiative targeting women in leadership. At the core is a driving mission to equip the hearts of female leaders nationwide and was organized to commemorate the 30^th Anniversary of the Year of the Woman and the 50^th Anniversary of the passing of Title IX. Pivotal gender-equity legislation prohibiting sex-based discrimination. Fifty years later, Title IX is still evolving. The law has affected generations, yet there is work to be done as women continually feel their rights are under attack and advocate to provide protections as we ‘celebrate’ the 30^th Anniversary of the Year of the Woman.

Guests gained practical knowledge on the power of building personal and professional brands while remaining true to their authentic values. This isn’t your ordinary conference; it’s a movement.
