Who is RawInked?
Artist RawInked was born and raised on the westside of Cleveland. He discovered his musical talent in 2014 and dropped the hit Single Get Money as an independent artist. He invested everything in his music career and began his own record label, Inked Ent Records. He would later drop the first official project; I’m Raw back in 2016.
RawInked would later work with artists in the local area, telling his story through his music based on his life and experiences. He grew up in a rough environment in Cleveland and would later have a near-death experience in 2018, where Marijuana laced with Fentanyl nearly took his life. The experience would change the direction of his music to a more positive vein, and now in 2022, he’s dropping his newest project, I’m Raw 7, with singles Dreams 2 Reality, Drip Now, and Follow The Cross leading the way.
The Hype Magazine wanted to know “Who Is” RawInked, and so got him to weigh in on a few things:
From the inside looking out, how do you see the artist Raw Inked?
Someone who enjoys music and has been through a lot.
Was there a defining moment that made you focus on music as a career?
When working for your passion on something you love to do.
Can you share one of your most anxious moments or thoughts after you made the leap?
The Reaction from others and support from listeners.
What has been the most satisfying for you about the choice to invest everything into your music career?
To own the masters of my recordings and receive passive income through my Art.
Tell us about your new project, I’m Raw 7 and what it means for you!
I’m Raw 7 is the completion of change and transferring to be a better person and inspire.
What can listeners expect from you on this project?
To hear wisdom, growth, and clean music.
What was the funniest WTF moment for you when creating this project?
Shooting a music video in a high-crime area in the middle of traffic, and people yelling out of their cars.
What’s the most important thing we should know about Raw Inked?
That I’m real Humble and haven’t forgotten where I came from.
