Introducing Jacob Wolverton and His Debut Single ‘Toxic’
Jacob Wolverton is a 22 year old multi-genre Artist from Adelaide, South Australia. Influenced by the likes of The Kid Laroi, Pink Floyd and Juice WRLD, Jacob started making music in 2020 as a way to motivate his younger brother to make more music.
“I saw the talent in him and thought that it would push him if I started doing the same as well. Little did I know that I actually enjoyed it more than I thought. I started making music with beats from YouTube and becoming familiar with my DAW. From there it just became something that I’d keep coming back to and now I’m about to release my debut single!”
Jacob Wolvertons debut single ‘Toxic’ stems from personal experiences, emotions and the general Toxic viewpoint of relationships that could be Platonic, romantic, family, friends or someone’s Toxic relationship with themselves. The main aspect of the song is being involved with someone romantically and being scared of falling in love, that person also being toxic which causes you both to fuel and exacerbate the never ending cycle of relationship toxicity. Toxic is relatable, raw and realistic. Take a step back to reflect on your own Toxic traits and to recognise and speak up about the ones of others that may be tearing you down or highlighting your pre-existing toxic ways. Toxic is a song we can all relate to.
