Could Rajah Marie be the Next Big Artist Out of the ATL?

From Dropping out of Kennesaw State University to recording hot singles, Rajah Marie took a leap of faith that many are afraid to do and it’s finally starting to pay off.

We got a chance to speak with Rajah Marie about her struggles with choosing to pursue music over a college education and she states, “While in the moment the choice was hard, because I didn’t want to disappoint anyone, I knew deep down that I would not be happy if I kept pushing my passion to the back burner”.

She expressed that Nursing school would be a way for her to live a “comfortable” life, but she knew that with her talents she could dream bigger and become the next big thing out of the ATL. She let us in and admitted that it was hard to focus on school when “you have this aching desire to do more or do something different”.

A lot of college students can probably relate, as they enroll without any real idea of the outcome after school. Once Rajah Marie dropped out, she was on a mission to make her dreams a reality. She immediately began working on her image and exploring different sounds. She released a teaser for the audience, a “21 Questions” remix that showed her ability to sing and rap with great lyricism.  Rajah Marie released several singles in 2022, and all are seemingly different. She has described this year as the “quiet before the storm” and is eager to unleash her newest creations that she’s sure her listeners will love. We find that intriguing because if this year is quiet, then what’s next will be something special as she’s been making noise all 2022. Her female anthem “Used To” caught the attention of her listeners and they’ve been listening since. She is able to switch her style at the drop of a dime which hooks in those who like different sounds.

Since releasing “Used To”, Rajah Marie has been on a roll and performing her other tracks “Silent”, and “Two Week Notice” on big platforms, and she is quickly gaining traction not only in the “A” but all over the country.  Rajah Marie is one to watch.
