Kill Crew is the Hottest Clothing Brand with an Advocacy

Mental health is not just a mental issue. There are many physical symptoms associated with depression and anxiety. Kill Crew, a Los Angeles fitness and lifestyle clothing brand, focuses on the importance of having a healthy mind and body. Founded in 2020 by designer Colton Dobson and Marco Passaquindici, they set out to make fitness apparel for people who needed more than just workout clothes but the motivation to push through each day without giving up on themselves.

With over 10 million dollars in sales alone in 2020, Kill Crew has quickly become the fastest-growing name throughout the gym and MMA industries. In a little over two years since launching, the company has become one of the most sought-after clothing brands, and with good reason. Aside from its cool gear with flashy streetwear imagery, Kill Crew has also designed a relatable mantra addressing the reality of silent battles people fight every day. Their rallying call, “Kill Negativity, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, & All of The Inner Battles We Face From Within,” resonates with many people and has attracted a huge crowd of dedicated followers.

“Some say mental health is not real, but you can rip the insides of your stomach and cause it to bleed just from anxiety and stress (ulcers). It doesn’t get any more real than that. Mental health IS physical health,” the Kill Crew team declares. “How many people train to keep their demons at bay? Training is more than a sport or hobby to some of us. It’s a prescription we use to conquer anxiety, depression, PTSD, alcoholism, anger, etc. If you have a friend struggling with these issues, invite them to the gym, it could save their life,” Kill Crew encourages.

Research supports these sentiments. According to health and wellness experts, regular exercise helps release feel-good endorphins that enhance your sense of well-being. In other words, working with a mental health professional to improve your mental wellness can bring faster results if you add the physical wellness component to your self-care routine.

“Struggle comes at all of us in different forms,” Kill Crew opines. “But creating ‘struggle’ in ways that improve us helps us fight struggles that come to destroy us. Be it addiction, anxiety, depression, etc., making our struggles exercise, discipline, and pushing ourselves into uncomfortable situations leads to massive rewards. Better to choose struggles that build us instead of ones that destroy us.” Kill Crew’s mission is to rip mental health from its invisible chains and empower people to feel good inside and out.

Since starting in 2020, the company has donated proceeds to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and clothing to homeless veteran organizations. It has also attracted major sports personalities and celebrities who support the cause. Some of those include musician Travie McCoy, MMA’s Nick Diaz, NBA’s Kelly Oubre Jr., actor and influencer Taylor Holder, musician ZillaKami, NFL’s Chase Edmonds, NBA star

Patrick Beverley, boxer Montana Lover, USA Olympic wrestler Jordan Burroughs, and professional gamer Jake Paul, TimTheTatman, among many more.

As they grow, Kill Crew hopes to continue paving its own path in design aesthetics while bringing its mental health roots to the forefront of its image. Their next goal is to open free-of-charge gyms where anyone can train and access on-site mental health professionals for free via email, phone, and texts. The gyms will also have nutrition and training experts for anyone seeking help.
