Inde Navarrette Talks The Future of “Superman & Lois” on The Wayne Ayers Podcast

Inde Navarrette joined The Wayne Ayers Podcast episode this week to talk all things ‘Superman and Lois’ season 3.

Navarrette plays Sarah Cushing on the CW series and spoke about her pitching storylines to the showrunners. The Arizona native revealed why her character doesn’t have any powers.

Most importantly she opened up about the possibility of a fourth season.

“We shot it… It’s been an emotional whirlwind because there was a moment at the very beginning of the season where we definitely thought we weren’t coming back,” she said.

“And then in the middle, everybody was kind of getting high hopes, and now towards the end, it’s a little bit of 50-50 because James Gunn came out on Twitter, who is now the head of DC, and was like, ‘No, Superman & Lois is definitely gonna find a place to live and go on for at least two more seasons.'”

“So seeing that it was almost as though that’s a definitive, but it’s interesting in our industry, it’s not a definitive, so we still have to wait for that answer,” Inde added.

“But we shot it as though, we still carried on the story arcs the way that the writers wanted to tell the stories and they way that the showrunners wanted the show to go, but we didn’t end it on anything, um, I can’t say the way that we ended it. The way that we ended it is the way that we want the show to go, and if there’s two more seasons, then there’s definitely things to explore that are at the end of the season, but if we don’t, then there’s just some things at the end of the season that I guess nobody will know about.”

She also revealed that they didn’t shoot alternate endings just in case the show did get canceled at CW.
