Boarderie Sets New Guinness World Record by Creating the World’s Largest Charcuterie Board

Earlier this month all eyes were focused on a Boarderie, a West Palm Beach company that creates artisanal cheese and meat boards, as they set out and succeeded in breaking the Guinness World Record for creating the world’s largest charcuterie board. Their record-setting colossal charcuterie board that featured artisan cheeses, cured meats, crackers, nuts, and dried fruit spanned 20 feet by 14 feet and weighed a total of 769 pounds. The previous record weighed about 440 pounds and was held by a group of students from Camarillo High School in March of 2023.

Boarderie, a family-led and founded business was created by Aaron and Julie Menitoff during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Previously they owned a catering business that was experiencing hardships due to the fact that the world was shutting down, so determined to keep their culinary dream alive they teamed up with Rachel Soloman and Angel Jerez, and Boarderie was born. Boarderie set out to revolutionize the world of catering one crafted board at a time by becoming the world’s first company to ship overnight pre-arranged artisan cheese and charcuterie boards nationwide.

“We are a company of innovations and firsts,” says CEO and Co-Founder Rachel Soloman. “We invented the first fully arranged cheese and charcuterie board shipped nationwide – so we knew we had to do something big and innovative this year going into our busiest season to showcase our brand and give back to our community. Since day one, our community has supported us as we have gone from shipping ten boards a day, and could not be happier to have been able to donate over 2,000 meals and additional funds to help our community feed those in need.”

A few years ago, Aaron and Rachel pitched this business on ABC’s nationally televised show, Shark Tank. After turning down a few offers from the celebrity panel of investors, they went on to ultimately accept Lor Griener’s offer of $300,000 for 9% equity.

Since then, Boarderie has grown to record-breaking heights and in 2022 earned a coveted well-deserved spot on Oprah Winfrey’s “Favorite Things” list.
