  • This song is from Jenni & Teddy’s duets album that was released via Sun Records, which has its own rich country history
  • And then we’re bringing this all around to a new generation of listeners!

The press release is below; would love to work with you on coverage! What else can I send along?

Jenni Muldaur & Teddy Thompson Release Poignant Music Video for “After The Fire Is Gone” Ahead of West Coast Tour

A Visual Narrative of Lost Love and Emotional Distance, Echoing a Rich Musical Heritage

NASHVILLE — Today marks the release of the much-awaited music video for “After The Fire Is Gone,” the evocative cover by Jenni Muldaur and Teddy Thompson, originally a hit for country legends Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn. The video, now out via Sun Records, is a poignant portrayal of a young couple’s emotional drift.

Directed by Lucy Tamarkin and produced by Henry Berger, the music video features actors Lila Dolliner and August Blum. Through a series of beautifully filmed, ambient vignettes in their home, the couple embodies the song’s haunting theme: the lingering silence and emptiness after love’s flame has dimmed. It captures the essence of a relationship where the physical closeness belies a deep emotional chasm. The couple’s lip syncing to Muldaur and Thompson’s soul-stirring vocals adds a layer of profound intimacy to the narrative.

“Our aim was to capture the song’s essence visually, echoing the emotional depth and legacy it represents,” shares Jenni Muldaur. “It’s a tribute not only to the original artists but also to our musical roots.”

“Inspired by the rich musical heritage of Sun Records and our own familial legacies, Jenni and I sought to bring a fresh perspective to these timeless songs,” Teddy Thompson adds. “This video is a visual extension of our musical homage to the greats of country music.”

The release of this music video comes just as the duo kicks off their West Coast tour.
