Carlie Hanson – Numb

Rising pop star Carlie Hanson has released her new song “Numb” today. Co-written by Carlie herself, the track showcases a darker tone for the singer-songwriter that is amplified by moody instrumentals and glitchy trap percussion. “Numb” marks the second single off of her forthcoming debut EP, due for release next year.

“Numb is one of the grittiest songs I’ve written and definitely the darkest song I’ve released so far,” Carlie said about the track. “I wrote it about the juxtaposition of being really drawn to someone but still wanting to stay completely detached from them.”

Carlie has captivated audiences across North America with her infectious live presence. After performing at several notable US festivals this summer including Bumbershoot in Seattle and Summerfest in Milwaukee, she drew rave reviews on tours with pop sensation Troye Sivan and Jeremy Zucker this fall. Keeping the momentum going into 2019, Carlie will join Gnash for several dates on his upcoming “Broken Hearts Club Tour” next month before heading to Europe and the UK for a winter run with Yungblud.

In under two years, 18-year old Carlie Hanson has made her way from working at a McDonalds drive thru in a small Wisconsin town to becoming a full-fledged artist and songwriter that has graced the pages of iconic fashion magazines CR Fashion Book and Remix Magazine. She has self-released five vibrant breakout tracks which have a collective 60 million-plus streams to-date. She released her most recent single “Toxins” earlier this fall, giving fans the first taste from her highly anticipated debut EP. Her smash hit “Only One” is prominently featured on Apple Music’s A-List Pop Playlist as well as an Apple Music Playlist curated by Taylor Swift and Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits.
