Emerging Atlanta Artist “Packtavists” Release Visuals to “Moving Different”
The emerging Atlanta duo, Packtavists, releases the visuals for their new single “Moving Different” off the upcoming EP; Dirty. The epitome of stoner rap, their sound is easy to connect to as they embody a calm yet inquisitive demeanor that translates on record. Their presence is eccentric and unique but relatable, with catchy smooth stoner lyrics to match.
Two college dropouts (Icarus and Gateway) with a passion for all things cannabis and music is what the emerging Atlanta duo, known as Packtavists, represent. In the fall of 2015, Icarus and Gateway met at Georgia Southern University where they were known as the “Dab Kings”. Moving different than your average college freshman they started a cannabis running that opened their minds to expand their knowledge outside of the classroom and into the streets of the South.
Icarus and Gateway made individual decisions to drop out of college at the completion of their junior year to focus on their craft which led them to pursue music full time and in 2017 the duo signed to STONE BOY RECORDS forming PACKTAVISTS; which is a conjunction for PACK (sack of cannabis) + TAVIST (activist for legalizing cannabis)= PACTAVISTS.
The ultimate goal of Stoned Boy Records is to create lyrical party music that entertains with a purpose and most importantly is respected throughout the Hip Hop culture. Packtavists is just getting started and ready to take over this distinct lane of Hip Hop.
