Ray J Denies He & Brandy Grew Up With a Silver Spoon on “Struggle Chef”

The Shade Room’s “Struggle Chef” series takes it WAAAAYYYY beyond the Ramen Noodle diet many of us are familiar with…either through experience or urban legends passed on through generations of check-to-check livers barely making ends meet. Watching the show reminded me of the many ways I fended off missed meal cramps myself in my younger days! Struggle Chef puts contestants through their special kitchen survival skills test by throwing them into “what can I make out of this” mode and the resulting conversations as these “chefs” go about their meal prep can be quite hilarious.

I guess we need to mention that the “Struggle Chef” contestants include celebrities we all know and love…the survival stories are real and the dishes they whip up are based on true life experience.

Take the episode below which features superstar and entrepreneur Ray J and his hot dog “tacos” LOL you won’t believe your eyes when you witness him begin to prep his dish! In the midst of cooking up something…uh wonderful, Ray J tries to debunk the claim that he and sister Brandy grew up with a silver spoon in their mouths, and might not even know what a “struggle meal” is, by reminding viewers that their family is from Mississippi and later resided in Compton and Carson before working their way up.
