As you see your self, who is Tate Kobang?
Just that guy. The average guy with a god given talent.
Tell us about your current project?
I’m working on a project now we’re dropping early January right before we go on tour. We don’t have a set date on it yet, but it’s basically me trying to establish myself. Right now, off of “Bank Rolls,” it’s hard for people to really categorize me, which I love. This right here will make sure I keep myself separated, but relevant.
What’s happened in your career that makes you feel this is the industry for you?
The fact that I can make money and provide for my family doing something that I love. It just lets me know that nothing else is for me.
What makes you the next great happening?
I’m fresh. A new sound, a new face, coming from a place that gets no shine except for negativity. It’s an untapped market in Baltimore and it’s something that they need.
Are your currently signed to a label or have any situation in the making?
300 Entertainment & D1 Entertainment.
Who and what are your influences?
My family, God of course. That’s really it.
What should people expect from your upcoming 2016 projects?
Big. Just big.
Is there anything you would like our readers to know?
Prayer works. Prayer changes things and no matter how hard things get, there’s always a way out.
Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” moment…
During a show, a chick reached in my pants. She put her hands in my pants on stage. So that was just too much.
