Mental Health Awareness Month Anthem “Alone” by Scotty Valid

Following the release of his E.P “Winter Blue,” Scotty Valid makes it known once again that he is a rapper with a heart for the people with his new release, “Alone.” May is officially known as Mental Health Awareness Month, and the Atlanta based hip-hop artist creates a safe space for everyone who feels that their cries for help go unheard, and every call remains unanswered. Alone touches on subjects most stray away from, such as loneliness and emptiness, while giving us a sense of hope. Battling depression and overcoming the feeling of being alone while having no one to talk to is something many people experience. Through a mellow tone and a smooth beat, the Scotty Valid brings the listener down a journey of topics we as people try to ignore. From feeling deeply alone to wanting to escape the trouble, he explores the realities of life and the importance of being there for one another while you can. During this COVID-19 pandemic, we must care for ourselves as well as each other. If you are feeling alone during this time or you feel like you have no one to talk to, this song should provide some encouragement.
