Meet Dr. Cherie Cofield Vice President of Education and Research for a for-profit organization, Midwest CannaNurses

Dr. Cherie Cofield is a registered nurse with over 30 years of experience in healthcare and education. She completed her doctoral degree in nursing, focusing on adolescents with chronic pain from sickle cell disease to see if an alternative way (Mindfulness) helps to decrease their chronic pain. During the pandemic, Dr. Cherie had to shift her nursing career and became a Cannabis Nurse Consultant. Once she announced that she signed up for the Cannabis Nurse Consultant class, she received over 100 inquiries from all over the United States about cannabis products. After learning about CBD and its therapeutic effects without “getting high,” Dr. Cherie did the leg work and started her own brand of CBD products.

This resulted in the birth of 2C CannaHealth and Wellness, LLC an eCommerce business. Dr. Cherie’s mission is to offer education, health, and wellness in a holistic way to relieve pain non-pharmacologically (no medication) to anyone with a chronic disease without side effects, to assist with bringing the body back into balance/homeostasis. Cannabis has been used for over 5,000 years for its medicinal properties. Dr. Cherie’s products will assist you with getting “Relief Without the High”. After 19 years of marriage and surviving a disastrous divorce, a non-profit organization was birthed, Divorced and Healed, Inc. The organization will provide a safe place for women who are going through divorce. Dr. Cherie wants to offer food and rent assistance to divorcing women in the future.

Dr. Cherie is a co-author in the anthology, “Recrowning God’s Daughters.” She is currently working at the University of Michigan and is the Vice President of Education and Research for the Midwest CannaNurses in Michigan.
