0Beauty and the Beast Review
We all know the legendary story of Beauty and the Beast.
“Belle (Emma Watson), a bright, beautiful and independent young woman, is taken prisoner by a beast (Dan Stevens) in its castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the beast’s hideous exterior, allowing her to recognize the kind heart and soul of the true prince that hides on the inside.”
Last night, I took a trip to see my childhood favorite film. Expecting to smile and have a few childhood memories it was an absolute surprise what I walked away with.
Beauty and the Beast was truly a life changing experience. Upon paying attention to the Beast, I learned how treating others poorly could have a negative impact on your life. I also learned that anything can be possible if you let people in.
Through watching Belle, I learned to never judge a book by its cover and allow for a person to show you who they really are. Belle also teaches that being considered “odd” isn’t a bad thing. Sometimes people just don’t relate to your level of understanding.
After learning this from the childhood classic. I turned it into my own life. Once I arrived home I told my significant other the following:
“When he had it all he was mean to everyone and his heart was cold. When the lady came to him for shelter from the storm he cast her out and laughed at her…….
As you know the story his punishment was that he was cast into being a Beast until he had genuine love in his heart and found someone to love him back…… Though I wasn’t cast into a beat, for me this would be my equivalent to when I started losing everything and began on a fast decline down a long and lonely hill. With this experience I had to learn to humble myself and begin to let people back into my world. I had to do a complete 180 in order to remain in a state that I considered bearable.”
As far as this remake is concerned, it was truly amazing. The costuming was sheer genius. The acting was perfectly executed and the musical delight were earpleasing.
This film gets a 10/10 for Relateability and Costuming. Emma Watson was an awesome pick for Belle. Her talent and Beauty really allow her to shine in this role. As always, Chip (the teacup) stole the whole show. LoL! His cuteness will always be epic.
If you haven’t, make sure you take time to enjoy a tale as old as time and go see Beauty and the Beast in your local theatre.
