0Kaly B Champion Sparks an Argument With Kevin Durant on IG & Then Uses SportsMe To Debates It”
Two-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant should be savoring his second consecutive NBA Championship with the Golden State Warriors from this past season. Especially after the announcement of a steal of a deal last week by DeMarcus Cousins of a one-year contract deal worth 5.3 million dollars. DeMarcus is currently nursing an Achilles injury, but because of the way the Golden State Warriors are assembled, he can take all the time needed to recover.
Recently, Kevin Durant participated in an Instagram war with a user by the name of Katy B Champion, who goes by Bucketscenter. Kaly B is a 17-year-old high school kid, who had been trolling Durant. Champion posted a picture stating:”3 Elite two-way players but doesn’t elevate a team quite like LeBron and Steph due to their playmaking/leadership deficiencies,” says Bucketscenter
Kevin Durant told the 17-year-old behind the account to “go sweep your dorm room” before calling him a “middle school/knock off Stephen A.” In the comment section, but the conversation did not end there Durant proceeds to DM Kaly b. The full conversation is below.
After the back in and forth with Kevin Durant, Kaly b Champion(Bucketscenter) took to a new social media platform called SportsMe. What is SportsMe you might ask? It’s a gaming app platform where fan engagement controls the conversation. Fans have the capability to record themselves asking questions, and any user can join in on the discussion. They can also follow other users like Instagram or Twitter while increasing their all-time score and battling other users. Bucketscenter currently has an all-time score of 5414 and 495 weekly points with 61 All-Time battle wins.
We reached out to Founder and CEO SportsMe Jeff Rubin for comments:“We’re grateful to have a platform that fans like Kalyb can use to share their opinions on topics that they love in sports culture while having fun, and validating these topic debates with the community. We started SportsMe to give fans and athletes the power of voice, and Kalyb is a perfect example of why everyone’s opinion matters”
