“Chuck Berry: The Original King Of Rock ‘N’ Roll” Director Jon Brewer On Berry’s Influence & More

In the highly-anticipated feature-length documentary, the life story of Chuck Berry is unveiled within Chuck Berry: The Original King Of Rock ‘N’ Roll. Despite his iconic status, and reverence for his talent by many of rock’s heroes — including Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Alice Cooper, The Beach Boys, Buddy Holly, David Bowie, The Grateful Dead, Bryan Adams and KISS — all featured, Chuck Berry was a family man. He was a prolific craftsman of word and chords, an undisputed and stunning combination of talent and charisma. First finding fame in the 1950s, Berry was still playing music over 60 years later when he passed in 2017.

Award-winning filmmaker Jon Brewer (BB King: The Life Of Riley, Nat King Cole: Afraid of the Dark) was personally selected by the Berry Estate to produce and direct this exclusive insight to the man known as Chuck Berry. Granted exclusive access to previously-unseen materials by even the most devout of fans, Brewer has undoubtedly helmed the most complete history of Chuck Berry ever made publicly-available via this newly-released documentary from Cardinal Releasing.

On September 30, 2020, I had the pleasure of interviewing Jon Brewer via Zoom, as embedded below.
