The Single:

“I’m back at it – Juugman voice,” Young Thug chirped on his 2014 hit single “Stoner,” in reference to Atlanta rap vet Yung Ralph‘s Juugin’ Round the City single “Back At It.” After joining Young Thug on Rich Gang‘s “Ridin” and Slime Season stand-out “Rarri,” Yung Ralph aka Juugman again teams up with Thugger for a single of his own, “Bands.” Produced by London On Da Track, “Bands” debuted on Noisey Radio on Beats1 / Apple Music last night, and the stream of the song premiered today on Noisey. “Thugger and Ralph are back together for a wildly fun song off Ralph’s upcoming tape,” noted Noisey, also acknowledging previous collaborations with Gucci Mane, Zaytoven, and Young Scooter, adding that “Ralph has been floating around the Atlanta music scene for a while.”

Last week, Yung Ralph shared the video for his Fetty Wap-assisted “Act A Fool,” which debuted via WorldStarHipHop and found the duo turning an Atlanta mansion into a club scene. The two artists met through close mutual friends and connected immediately, as “Act A Fool” was recorded at Patchwork Studios in Atlanta and is produced by Yung Lan, who also produced Fetty’s “RGF Island” single. “Fetty holds down the hook with an achy warble… while Ralph swags all over the track in his baritone,” said The FADER in their premiere of the song’s audio last month. “Ralph rides the vibed out production with some characteristic pizzazz,” added Complex, while XXL noted that “Ralph and Wap’s contrasting styles blend well together as the Juugman’s grumbling flow blends into Fetty’s sentimental melodies.” The “Act A Fool” video follows a visual for “Everyday,” which debuted via Passion of the Weiss earlier this month and found Yung Ralph smoked out on a hoverboard.

Yung Ralph’s I Am Juugman project is set to release on December 8th.
