Who are Pop sensations Viktoria and Mixologist Mikk?
Music collective Viktoria Agbayani and Mixologist Mikk (@MixologistMikk) are a one of a kind duo whose styles and influences perfectly mesh to create a pleasingly familiar presentation that has potential in both Pop and Rhythmic markets. I recently reviewed their new single “Uh-Oh” and their distinct flavor had me hooked from the first note! Check out this burgeoning disruptive musical force…they’ll be making international impact fairly rapidly!

From the outside looking in, who are Viktoria and Mixologist Mikk?
Viktoria has been crowned “MTV Queen” by the Philippine media, being the pioneer of Philippine music videos. She is one of the first Asian artists who hit the MTV Asia airwaves.
Mixologist Mikk is a genre-fusing artist who produces music, DJs, and raps.
What brought you both to the entertainment industry, music specifically?
Viktoria: I was writing songs as a kid and had this extreme passion for music. Eventually, I was drawn to the Philippine music/entertainment industry. I signed up with major record companies in the Manila like Octo Arts, EMI, Sony Music Philippines and had distribution deals with Warner Music.
Mikk: The craving to entertain and be entertained.
How did you two connect?
We met at a studio session in Manila through a co-producer and common friend of ours back in 2011. Ever since then, we have been co-writing and co-producing tracks for us and other artists.
What do you want people to get from your music?
Inspiration. It’s us being able to speak (through songs) for people who can’t say certain things straight up. At the same time, we want to open up their minds to new creative heights, while still keeping things marketable.
Tell us about your current project and smash single “Uh-Oh”?
“Uh-Oh” is a cross-continental collab between The Philippines’ MTV Queen, Viktoria, and emerging L.A.-based Producer/DJ/Rapper Mixologist Mikk, featuring a fusion of Electro-Pop and Moombahton/Dancehall rhythms.
For new listeners, what song of yours would you pick as an introduction to you as an artist?
Viktoria: “To Be Near You.” It’s a song included in the soundtrack of the TV show “Felicity” which was released by Sony Music in Asia and included in my album “Here To Stay”
Mike: “TAKEN.” It represents everything about me, except the DJ aspect of Mixologist Mikk. You can experience a little dose of me producing, singing, and rapping – all in one song.
Tell us a bit about your work and passions OUTSIDE of music…
Viktoria: I’m an artist-turned-entrepreneur.
Mikk: Connecting dots through Branding and PR. It has become my way of navigating through the industry and life in general – good thing it goes hand-in-hand with my music career!
Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” aka WTF?! moment…
Viktoria: The first thing that popped up in my head was that moment when I had no choice but to push through with my concert in a town in the Southern part of the Philippines where some bombs went off a week before my concert date. I had to travel by land in a critical area. I had a bodyguard with me who knew the terrain well. He had to inspect the stage just to make sure there isn’t any bomb in there. A battalion of soldiers was assigned to me.
Mikk: My latest WTF?! moment aka #UhOhMoment happened just this past 4th of July. Let’s just say I had one too many drinks and that’s about all that I could remember (laughs hysterically).
