An orange-flavored triple sec liqueur produced in Saint-Barthélemy-d’Anjou, France, Cointreau is both an apéritif and digestif. The popular spirit, as first introduced to the market in 1875, is also ideal for adding into creative cocktails. To keep you warm and feeling great, below are 5 recipes — which you ought to be able to make in the comfort of your own home — featuring Cointreau.

Winter Florals Cosmopolitan

Ingredients:
– Cointreau – 1.5 oz.
The Botanist Gin – 1 oz.
– Cranberry Juice – 1 oz.
– Fresh Lime Juice – 0.5 oz.

Method:
– Combine Cointreau, The Botanist Gin, Cranberry Juice, and Fresh Lime Juice into cocktail shaker.
– Shake all ingredients and strain into a coupe glass.
– Garnish with a marigold.

Cointreau – 1 oz.
– Lemon-infused Botanist Gin – 1.5 oz.

– 2 dashes of aromatic bitters

Method:
– Combine Cointreau, lemon-infused Botanist Gin, Cranberry Juice, Fresh Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, and bitters into cocktail shaker.
– Shake all ingredients and strain into a coupe glass.
– Garnish with a star anise.

The Sparkling Cosmopolitan

Ingredients:
Cointreau – 0.75 oz.
– Vodka – 1.5 oz.
– Fresh Lime Juice – 0.5 oz.
– Cranberry Syrup – 0.5 oz.
– Champagne to finish.

Method:
– Combine Cointreau, Vodka, Cranberry Syrup, and Fresh Lime Juice into cocktail shaker.
– Shake all ingredients and strain into a champagne flute.
– Top with champagne and garnish with frozen cranberries.

Tell Your Mother I Say ‘Chai’

Ingredients:
Cointreau – 0.75 oz.
Mount Gay Rum (infused with chai) – 2 oz.
– Coconut Milk – 2 oz.
– Maple Syrup – 0.25 oz.
– 1 dash vanilla extract

Method:
– Add all ingredients to shake.
– Add ice and shake.
– Fine strain into rocks glass with big cube.
– Garnish with star anise.

Cointreau – 0.5 oz.
– Vodka – 1 oz.
– Coconut Milk – 2 oz.
– Fresh Lemon Juice – 0.25 oz.
– 1 tablespoon cranberry sauce
– Sparkling wine to finish

Method:
– Add all ingredients except sparkling wine to shaker.
– Add ice and shake.
– Fine strain into coupe glass.
– Finish with sparkling wine and garnish with safe leaf and orange wheel, if desired.
