2nd Generation Wu: The Wu-Tang Dynasty

First things first, please introduce for me the members of 2nd Generation Wu…

iNTeLL [Son of U-God] (and) PXWER [Son of Method Man].

Tell me your whole inception into entertainment — When did you all first become interested in it? And, how did it all begin for 2nd Generation Wu?

I was 8 years old when I knew I wanted to be a filmmaker, and 13 when I started writing rhymes.

Now of course y’all hail from Staten Island and come from the finest Hip Hop stock — But growing in “Shaolin,” and aside from y’all fathers, who all else did / do you all consider to be your strongest influences?

Our mothers of course, and then the family unit in general.

At what particular point in time, specifically, did you all even opt to pursue entertainment on a professional basis?

When I was 18 years old I realized this could be something that becomes a career.

With famous dads, literally the “cream of the crop” within this rap universe, were any of y’all nervous or maybe even a little hesitant to get involved in the exact same field where precedence had clearly already been set; with such huge shoes to fill so to speak?

I had moments during the beginning of my career where I might’ve had those thoughts, but I always stayed consistent because Hip Hop wasn’t just a hobby to me it was a culture to be studied and to become a part of.

How supportive have each of your pops’ been when it’s comes to this here pursuit of music?

Our fathers have always supported us, but with music it was a long conversation with ups and downs that’s still ongoing.

And, have they shared any vital knowledge or advice with any of you all?

I can’t even quantify how many gems we’ve been receiving; even before we could say the word gem, let alone knew what they were.

With all of that being said, how do you all classify your overall sound and / or style?

Rugged New Bap Funk!

The latest single is entitled “New Generation” — Tell me about this particular track; how did it come to fruition?

We were in the studio and Sun God [Son of Ghostface Killah] said, “Throw on a joint, Gawd!” And then we all heard that one and went off.

“New Generation” follows right on the heels of the group’s debut entry, “7.O.D.” — Shed some light on this song’s manifestation….

For 13 years I had the dream of uniting us. Working at Dockstreet for a year, I was able to create an environment for that to become a possibility. Eventually we all came together like Voltron, found the right beat with the right hook, and made a game changing song. The Wu-Tang Dynasty began that day.

Both tracks come courtesy of your highly anticipated – still untitled – official debut LP — What all specific details; i.e. title, favorite selection(s), producer(s) credit(s), cameo appearance(s), etcetera, can you all reveal and / or divulge about upcoming premiere set at this point in time?

As of now, The 2GWU Album is Called ‘7OD,’ (and) my next solo iNTeLL album is called  ‘Smarty McFly Presents: 1.21GW.’ Switching gears here, what exactly do you all want people to get from your music? Knowledge is Pxwer, Listen for the iNTeLL!

If you all could collaborate with any one artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

Jay-Z or Royce da 5’9″ or Lupe Fiasco, because I need a lyrical challenge.

If you all could play any venue in the world, which one would you choose and why?

Carnegie Hall; it’s classy and prestigious.

In terms of longevity, what do you all feel it is that will continue to sustain you in this grueling industry?

Determination and talent.

Do you all have any other outside / additional future aspirations, maybe even completely away from entertainment?

Film-making is my other career, but my endgame is a restaurant.

To date, what has been your biggest career moment(s), at least thus far anyway?

Being on a song with Method Man and Snoop Dogg…also being interviewed by Inside Edition.

Looking ahead, say five or maybe even ten years from now, where do you all see yourselves?

Entertainment Moguls!

As for the immediate, what’s next for 2nd Generation Wu?

We’re going to finish up the album we’re working on, and we’re going to keep dropping music until the sun explodes…

Is there anything I left out or just plain forgot to mention?

We’re traveling to Barcelona for our first International show.

Any “closing” thought(s) for our readers?
