Wrestler, Singer & Twitch Host Zicky Dice On “ZDTV,” Future Plans, “Those Rumors” & More

In my humble opinion, there is no one in professional wrestling today like “Outlandish” Zicky Dice. Putting his top-level skills as an entertainer aside, Dice is also known to “dice-ciples” as the frontman of the signed rock band Heart To Heart and a prolific performer on Twitch. The current NWA World Television Championship holder — a title Dice won earlier this year from current All Elite Wrestling star Ricky Starks — is entertaining people online in some form every day of the week through a mix of public live-streams, interviews, video-based commercial parodies, music and professional wrestling.

Recently rumors hit “the dirt sheets” — what wrestling industry insiders often call websites and newsletters which publish unsubstantiated rumors — that Zicky Dice had asked for his release from the National Wrestling Alliance and was “difficult to work with.” As someone who previously had the pleasure of interviewing Dice, I wanted to speak with Dice himself to get his hot take on that subject and also learn more about how his multi-faceted career. Other topics discussed within our August 3, 2020 chat over Zoom, as embedded below in its entirety, include the following:

– Whether or not David Lee Roth is an influence on him
– When he first became aware of Twitch
– How he bounced back from his lowest point as a wrestler
– How he feels about Ricky Starks signing with AEW
– Where his work ethic and drive come from
– If he will ever be satisfied with his success as a performer
– Future plans beyond ZDTV
