Heath On Working With IMPACT Wrestling As A “Free Agent,” “Bound For Glory,” Music & More

IMPACT Wrestling has been in the news a lot lately, especially with its recent Slammiversary pay-per-view revealing some big new signings to the company in July 2020. Among those big signing announcements from earlier in the summer were The Good Brothers (“Machine Gun” Karl Anderson and “The Big LG” Doc Gallows), Brian Myers, EC3, Eric Young and Heath Miller, all of whom prior wrestling champions. Meanwhile, IMPACT itself — which airs on Tuesday nights at 8:00 PM EST / 7:00 PM CST, as followed by the IMPACT In 60 program — is regularly the highest-rated show on AXS TV.

While no one is quite sure whether the aforementioned Heath Miller is indeed a signing — as he came into the IMPACT ranks wearing a “free agent” shirt — he will be appearing at this weekend’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view on Saturday, October 24th as part of a 20-man “Call Your Shot” Gauntlet Match. He will be competing alongside Rhino, who he had previously held tag team championship gold with before appearing in IMPACT, per an opportunity earned on last week’s IMPACT episode. Gauntlet match aside, Bound For Glory will also feature plenty of other anticipated matches, including Eric Young defending his IMPACT World Championship against Rich Swann and Deonna Purrazzo defending her IMPACT Knockouts Championship against Kylie Rae; Rohit Raju, current X Division Champion and friend of The Hype Magazine will also be on the card defending his title in a big match.

On October 19, 2020, I had the pleasure of speaking with Heath Miller via phone, as embbeded below. We talked about Bound For Glory, why he started appearing in IMPACT, who within the IMPACT locker room he is friends with beyond on-screen appearances, goals beyond wrestling, how his on-screen character compares to his off-screen self, musical preferences, and more.
