Zippo Unveils Street Art Collection with Notable Artists

Zippo has unveiled the Street Art Collection, an exciting new series of street art-inspired windproof lighters designed in collaboration with some of the world’s most talented artists. The iconic American brand teamed up with D*Face, Tristan EatonMarija Tiurina and Pref for the collection, featuring artwork inspired by their individual recognizable styles.

The series of four lighters places a spotlight on Zippo’s new 540 Color decoration process. This latest design innovation from the brand allows Zippo to add any design, in full color graphics, to the windproof lighter, wrapping around all edges and surfaces for the first time. The collection was further inspired by Zippo’s recent partnership with the inaugural London Mural Festival, an open-air festival featuring 40 large-scale murals and artistic events across London. As part of the month-long festival, Zippo worked with D*Face to create a large-scale mural of his lighter design in King’s Cross.

With over 300,000 designs created since 1932, Zippo shares a passion for individual creative expression. The Street Art Collection marks the latest move by the brand to celebrate art in all its forms via the unconventional canvas of the windproof lighter, which has long served as a piece of art. This new round of collaborators offer well-established credentials in the world of street art – Tristan is the co-designer of the iconic Dunny alongside Kidrobot, while D*Face is widely regarded as one of the most prolific urban artists of his generation.

The full collection will be available for purchase starting Friday, October 2 at www.zippo.com/pages/540-color-street-art-collection.
