A Look At A$AP Ferg’s Collaboration With Snapple

Hailing from New York City’s Harlem neighborhood, rapper A$AP Ferg launched his debut album Trap Lord in 2013, as featuring Platinum single “Work” and Gold single “Shabba Ranks.” Last year, A$AP Ferg continued to keep the big hits coming, including the smash “Move Ya Hips” featuring Nicki Minaj and MadeinTYO. “Move Ya Hips” not only hit #1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Sales Chart, but has scored close to 100 million streams worldwide. Music aside, Ferg continues to reach new heights with his collaborations that include Redline bikes, Adidas, Hennessy and Tiffany & Co.

A$AP Ferg’s latest collaboration is with beloved beverage brand Snapple. Continuing to work with his creative partner Shomi Patwary, Ferg has produced and directed a documentary honoring New York City bodegas, just like the Red Apple Deli he grew up with in Harlem, titled A Snapple Corner Story. The 10-minute film explores the impact bodegas and their owners have on local culture and among those sharing related stories — beyond Ferg — are Bodega Bamz, Steve Rodriguez and Dapper Dan.

On July 27, 2021, select media attendees were invited to attend an event hosted by A$AP Ferg and Snapple at The Little Shop near New York’s South Street Seaport. Guests received a first look at the new collaborative merch line between A$AP Ferg and Snapple that would drop the following day, alongside A Snapple Corner Story. All merch sales will benefit The Bodega and Small Business Group, an organization that is supporting small businesses in the (still on-going) wake of COVID-19.
