Atlanta-based Media Veterans Terry Sampson and Willie Styles Drop Gems

Terry Sampson and Willie Styles, of the Atlanta-based Envisage Affiliates are veterans in entertainment industry media production. The Uncle and Nephew pair, respectively, have worked with iconic artists such as the late great Nipsey Hussle and Bizarre from D12. Specializing in media, video production, graphic design and more, Terry and Willie use their diverse and multitalented skills to enhance artist visual portfolios. With over 700 productions filmed and directed, their expertise, talent, passion, and drive have earned them much respect in the entertainment industry. I asked them a few questions to grab some gems more from this dynamic duo:

What makes you hype?

Willie:

I get hype over positive energy, entrepreneurship, my faith, my family, making progress, new opportunities.

What projects are you working on currently together and individually?

Terry:
We’re working on our first full-length film as well as creating an independent music video show that will be aired via our NEW Roku channel. That’s got me hype!

The entertainment industry can be time-consuming and stressful. How do you balance your career and your mental health?

Terry:
Obviously family is important to us. Spending time with family gives us an opportunity to decompress. Spending time with family also rejuvenates the creative energy needed to continue to fulfill our purpose.

Did you always want to be a part of the entertainment industry or were there other professions that caught your eye?

Willie:
Yes!!!! Don’t get me wrong I have been blessed with many talents but entertaining/artistic expression is my THING!!!!

Who is your target client at Envisage Affiliates?

Terry: We don’t have any specifically targeted clients. We welcome and appreciate any opportunity given. We work with all sorts of talented individuals and businesses. Whether they be up and coming independent artists who are looking to get their foot in the door or established artists who want the creativity of an Envisage Affiliates production.

What is the best business advice you ever received?

Terry:
Do not try to emulate someone else’s path to success. This means to me, learn from your successful peers and utilize what coincides with your vision while creating your own path.
