Hip Hop Icon Biz Markie Dead at 57
Biz Markie, the Hip Hop legend who pioneered beatboxing and had an enduring hit songs like Just A Friend, Vapors, Nobody Beats the Biz, and many more, has died, at the age of 57. His impact on the culture was felt not only with music but touched the big screen as well with an appearance on Men In Black II and the little screen via commercials. His presence in and outside the community of Hip Hop made the world richer.
For those of us who didn’t know him personally, we send our condolences to his family and friends. For those of us who knew him via music, I invite you to reminisce with me and celebrate the man that brought us so much joy with his craft…
