Eleanor Lambert On Her New Film “Time Now,” Future Projects, Her Music Journalism Past & More

As debuted at this year’s Austin Film Festival, Time Now will be released to theater and on-demand platforms in North America on October 26, 2021. Time Now, a mystery-thriller title distributed via Dark Star Pictures, comes from writer/director Spencer King. The film stars Eleanor Lambert and Claudia Black (Farscape, The Nevers). The cast of the film also includes Xxavier Polk, Paige Kendrick, R&B star Dwele (who also contributed original music to the film), Sebastian Beacon, Jeannine Thompson, Peter Knox, Aaron Matthew Atkisson, Asher Atkisson, Dominique Alexander, and Ashley Sheri.

If the cast itself is not reason enough to check out Time Now, its plot ought to be. The film is focused on young woman returns to the city she grew up, Detroit, in to mourn the sudden death of her twin brother. Upon meeting her brother’s eclectic group of friends, stepping into the scene he belonged to, and navigating the urban playground that is Detroit, she soon discovers that his death is not what it seems. Time Now may not be Eleanor Lambert’s first notable film credit, but it is surely a break-out role for the actress, a Los Angeles native who calls New York City home these days; more information on an upcoming theatrical role for Lambert can be seen below within an embedded Instagram post.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Eleanor Lambert via Zoom on October 19, 2021, as embedded below. More on Lambert and Time Now can be found by clicking here, here, here and here.
