I met this cat some years ago as he was doing amazing things behind the scenes, it’s really a long story, I might tell it one day but suffice it to say that I’ve been waiting for OCELOT to FINALLY come centerstage for quite some time. His single Foot Down is an amazing introduction to his artistry for those who enjoy and miss the standards of Hip Hop put forth by those that came before. Multi-talented and a celebrated dynamo in the background of some of your favorite festivals like Warped and Coachella, it’s about time he put his Foot Down as a true representer of the culture. The song is produced by Charlie G and the video was shot and directed by Pauli w/ SweetFxtry

Salt Lake City based emcee, OCELOT, has been a major player in the underground hip hop scene for the past decade. Whether it be touring/performing alongside acts such as Dizzy Wright, Dilated Peoples, KMFDM or by working for major artists/festivals such as TECH N9NE, Coachella and Warped Tour. Originally from Michigan, OCELOT teamed up with longtime friend/collaborator CHARLIE G, who has produced songs featuring emcees such as GRANDMASTER CAZ, NEMS, AOTP, DIABOLIC, CANIBUS and more.

After years of putting in work behind the scenes, OCELOT’s first Official Single “FOOT DOWN” is a testament of the artistry and music that showcases an emcee, that your favorite emcee is already probably aware of behind the curtains, but that is now stepping up next for the masses to see.
