Platinum Singer Christian Burns and NFT Artist Parin Heidari Unite for Historic NFT Drop

Platinum singer Christian Burns and his partner, designer Parin Heidari recently featured in Time Mag, just released an NFT drop called Parallel Hopes on the Origin Story platform.

Parallel Hopes is a collaboration between 2 artists from 2 parallel worlds. Hailing from the UK, Christian Burns has enjoyed success in the music industry over the past 25 years, writing songs for GRAMMY-nominated albums, racking up 10s of millions of streams online, and having massive hits around the globe with some of the worlds biggest names in electronic music including Tiësto, BT, Armin van Buuren and many more. His band BBMAK hit the number one spot in America for 12 weeks and sold over 3 million albums. Before the first of many upcoming blockchain projects, Christian’s last solo album, ‘Love Songs from Suburbia’ hit the number one spot in America.

Iranian-born Parin Heidari comes from a totally different world. In her career spanning over 15 years, Parin has been blessed to work with some of the world’s leading brands such as Phillips, BMW, Tom Ford, and Luxottica as a graphic designer, and her work has even been featured on Dutch Emmy award-winning film Rabarber. Since joining the NFT space in April, Parin’s work has been thrust under the spotlight, with her art being critically acclaimed, and recently, she was selected to be a featured artist on Time Magazines’ first NFT drop for Timepieces.

Parin and Christian’s worlds collided at a chance meeting in Liverpool, and from first words, their collaboration was born. They quickly discovered that they had both faced similar trials and frustrations in their respective industries, where ownership, artist merit, and worth are obfuscated behind an iron-clad curtain of outdated gatekeepers and systems. They envisioned a way to unite skillsets, amplify their mutual hope and share it with the world.

Christian’s music delivers messages of hope, while Parin has the constant want to express hope in the darkest of stories through her art. As a child, Parin had the often misunderstood ability to see and visualize things that she heard. This overstimulating extra sense was a confusing way to experience the world.

As an adult, she learned that this was actually a little-known neurological condition called Synesthesia. Synesthesia is a perceptual phenomenon where crossed wiring in the brain mixes up sensory messages. Parin sees colors, faces, shapes, and stories when she hears music, a gift she now recognizes as a superpower.

The Parallel Hopes collection comprises 5 bespoke, ethereal musical works performed by Christian. Every brush stroke interpreted through Parin’s lens of Synesthesia makes for remarkably visceral artwork, where soundscape and art interweave into an evocative and nuanced masterwork.

“We believe that blockchain technology will liberate the arts, and more than anything, our greatest parallel hope is that this project will inspire other artists to dream big and push the boundaries as to what’s possible in this space.” Dream on, sweet dreamer; this is just the beginning.
