0The Must-Try Cocktail + Dessert Pairing, the Rob Roy Cocktail and Black Forest Chocolate Cream Pie
This is being touted as the most irresistible pairing of the year: the Rob Roy cocktail, made with rich Single Malt Scotch whiskey The GlenDroanch, paired with the Black Forest Chocolate Cream Pie from Gemini Bakehouse in Los Angeles
- As Prairie Rose, Drink Specialist and Author of Mixology for Beginners says, “The Rob Roy is one of those under-the-radar cocktails that has a way of always impressing. Elegant, sexy, and luxurious, it’s sort of the perfect Valentine’s Day cocktail because it’s simple to make yet delivers a complex and delicious drink. And a GlenDronach Rob Roy will have your date swooning. “
- Gemini Bakehouse Co-Owner Hannah Smith specifically chose the Black Forest Chocolate Cream pie to pair with The GlenDronch Rob Roy, calling the perfect pair “a great end to a dinner party with friends.”
The GlenDronach 12 Year Old elevates the Rob Roy cocktail, which is said to have been first served in 1894 at the renowned Waldorf Astoria in New York City. The whisky’s layers of sherry, creamy vanilla, and oak beautifully harmonize with the sweet vermouth and brandied cherries.
